Meet the Team
Executive Chef & Kitchen Manager
Sigberto is a Prescott native who joined our team within the past year and has taken our kitchen to the next level. He is a classically trained chef who has studied a variety of international cuisines. He received his training at the Arizona Culinary Institute before becoming the banquet manager for Los Abrigados in Sedona. He then returned home and began work as the Sous Chef at Prescott Resort before we were able to steal him away to work at the Raven. “Junior” has a ten month old son and likes to build things with his own hands in his spare time. He has never seen the ocean.
Beer & Bar Manager
Sean originally hails from Elizabethtown, KY. After spending 10 years in IT, he moved to Prescott in 2010 to attend Prescott College, where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Studies with a minor in the Visual Arts. Sean got into the service industry in Prescott to support himself during school and developed an affinity for craft beer and home-brewing after working at two local breweries. He brought his extensive knowledge and passion to The Raven Cafe two years ago and has reinvigorated the beer program, while also hosting Monday Night Trivia and providing his graphic design skills for various marketing and advertising campaigns. Sean enjoys bowling, traveling, playing music and photography in his spare time, and has even had a few art shows around Prescott and at The Raven.
Wine & Bar Manager
Valerye has worked at many local establishments in the past, including Pasquale’s Place, Hooligans Bar, and Murphy’s Restaurant. With most of her background in management, expanding her wine knowledge has been the highlight of her time at the Raven. The Raven allows her to expand her creative side as well, as the in-house chalk artist, helping out in the graphic design department, and hosting our Movie Nights every Tuesday. Her wine articles can be spotted in the Quad Cities Business Newspaper each month and she is currently climbing the sommelier ladder with the Court of Master Sommeliers. In her free time she can be found raising her two children and trying to get her mother to drink better wine.
